National Technical
Assistance Center on Positive Behavioral Interventions and
Supports
Funded by OSEP, the goal of the National
Technical Assistance
Center on Positive
Behavioral Interventions and Supports (NTAC-PBIS) is to increase the capacity
of schools, families, and communities to support and educate children and youth
with significant problem behavior by:
- Increasing both awareness and knowledge of
positive behavioral interventions and support as part of these systems, and
- Emphasizing the features of a comprehensive
systems approach to sustaining these interventions and supports.
The NTAC-PBIS is coordinated by the University of Oregon, with a consortium of
institutions of higher education working together as collaborating partners at the
Universities of Kansas, Missouri,
Kentucky, and
South Florida. Its purpose is to establish and utilize a
comprehensive national network of expert collaborators who will help to select
the content and formats to disseminate positive behavioral interventions and
support.
