The Arc's Self-Determination Scale (adolescent version)

The Arc’s Self-Determination Scale is a 72-item assessment for adolescents with cognitive disabilities. The measure will aide students with cognitive disabilities and educators in identifying students’ strengths and limitations in terms of self-determination and allow researchers to explore the relationship between self-determination and the factors that either promote or inhibit it. The scale is composed of four sections, which are essential characteristics of self-determination: autonomy, self-regulation, psychological empowerment, and self-realization. The results will be in the form of a total self-determination score and subdomain scores for each of the four subtests.
